What to Expect

A clear, supportive process from the very first call.

Whether you're considering an evaluation, therapy, or a parent consultation, here's how working with us unfolds.

The Process

How it works, step by step.

  1. Consultation / intake

All of our services begin with a 75-minute consultation/intake appointment. We learn all about your child and your concerns: their development and their medical, social, emotional, behavioral, and academic history. Then we share our recommendations.

  2. An individualized plan

Together we decide on the most useful next step: an evaluation, therapy, parent consultation, or another kind of support.

  3. Testing, treatment, or consultation

For evaluations, testing is individualized. Therapy and parent consultations continue in regular sessions.

  4. Feedback and written report

For evaluations, your psychologist meets with you to walk through the results: your child's strengths, challenges, and diagnoses when appropriate.

When applicable, you receive a thoughtful written report with practical recommendations for home and school, including accommodations or standardized-testing recommendations when appropriate, and referrals and resources when useful.
